Our CORE Values
Life is so much more than work. We want to enhance the lives of our clients and team. Our team cannot enhance the lives of our clients, if we are not supporting them. Everyone has good and bad days, and this is not an admonishment to fake it. But we want to work with others that understand that work is not the be all, end all. We want to encourage and support our team to pursue their passions, to lead fulfilled lives.
We offer our clients real, impactful relationships. We want to enhance their lives. Foundational to every relationship is communication, and communication is founded on listening. Listening to understand, not just to respond or solve a problem. Some techniques for better listening include:
Active Listening (repeating back what your understanding of what was said)
In person conversations. Much of our communication is non-verbal.
Staying on your side of the net. Do not ascribe intent to someone’s actions.
Communication is key to our working relationships as well. Only when we listen to our colleagues can we truly be of service to them, to enhance their lives.
At the core of our values is the ability to change. Our industry is not usually associated with progressive thinking, and to be adaptable for our industry is not sufficient. We cannot be just Progressive Accountants; rather we need to be Progressive Business Leaders. We are at the beginning of a truly revolutionary time, comparable to the Renaissance. With the invention of the printing press, information could be easily and cheaply disseminated. Ideas flourished, and the whole world changed.
Think about internet technology as the printing press on steroids. The changes that are coming to our world will be no less revolutionary, and we must adapt to those changes. We cannot even understand what it is that we will have to change, but we must thrive on Chaos, be comfortable being uncomfortable. This is the new reality in which we and other business owners live.
We find reasons to make things happen, not make excuses about why things cannot happen. This is not “grind the gears”; work a whole lot of hours to get things done. Many times, we will need to question how things are done to see if there is a better way to do it (see Adapt). Nevertheless, at the end of the day, we will deliver without excuses.

If not, we’ll definitely hold on to your information so we can contact you if circumstances change.
